plural or singular?

i can't remember when i heard this on radio but there was this show where listeners could choose to answer one of the three topics. i distinctly remember one of the three: who will you choose to go out with - an ex who wants to have a second go at you or a total stranger?

if i were to choose, i think i'll go for the ex.. why? because i will be much comfortable (friends ko silang lahat) with her on a date. we'll probably just laugh the whole night.. though i find going out with a total stranger a bit exciting, i think it wouldn't be half as much fun as when i go out with my ex.. do i make sense? naahh..

just had a bite of the overly commercialized romance thing going on..
